The Courchevel 1850 Ski Area

Courchevel 1850 has an extensive network of immaculately groomed pistes, with over 150 km of marked runs. The lower slopes have wide, confidence-building runs, notably in the Altiport sector which is perfect for beginners to progress beyond the nursery slopes, with more challenging terrain at higher altitudes to keep even expert skiers happy.

The highest point of the ski area is the Saulire summit at 2,740 metres. Here, north-facing slopes hold the snow until late in the season, offering everything from meticulously groomed black runs to steep off-piste couloirs and powder fields. The area between Courchevel and La Tania offers exceptional tree skiing during bad weather.

Courchevel 1850 is an ideal base from which to explore the 3 Valleys network. From Saulire,  there are multiple routes into the Méribel valley ranging from wide blue runs to steep, technical black runs. The Col de la Loze at 2,305 metres is another strategic crossing point, opening up access to La Tania and beyond.

The 3 Valleys network has a huge amount of skiing, with over 600 km of marked runs served by 166 modern ski lifts. Getting from Courchevel across to Méribel and Les Menuires / Val Thorens is a breeze, with high-speed cable cars, gondolas and chairlifts strategically positioned to minimise waiting times.

In addition to the state-of-the-art lift system, extensive snowmaking coverage ensures reliable conditions throughout the season, and advanced avalanche control systems protect both marked runs and popular off-piste sectors. Whether you like carving turns on groomers or getting stuck into the off-piste terrain, Courchevel 1850 has something for everyone.
